LCC Students - Exciting Opportunity!
The position of the Vice President of LCC is currently vacant and needs filling and we are looking for enthusiastic LCC students to put themselves forward or nominate a friend for the role.
Becoming a Vice President of your college is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills, get to know your fellow students and make changes within the University. You will be influential in ensuring that the Students’ Union is providing the relevant creative opportunities and support that UAL students need.
You will be supported in this role by your link sabbatical officer and President of the Student Union Ben Westhead as well as a host of union staff who will provide training, regular-catch ups and general support.
Benefits:
It is a great opportunity to meet other students, form networks and instigate the changes that you and other students want to see. You will develop strong communication, organisation and leadership skills whilst learning to work well as part of a larger team. You will be essential to ensuring that the SU space is being used creatively and will have the opportunity to help with exhibitions and organise social events. This position will develop your management skills and extend your knowledge of the SU and Arts London whilst looking fantastic on your CV!
Who can nominate themselves for this position?
Any full-member of the SU (suarts.org/fullmember) who is a current LCC student and will be for the rest of the year.
Time Commitment:
If elected you will hold the post until the 15th July 2013 and will become part of a wider Student Executive team who work together to ensure that the University is run the way students want it to be. More information about the Student Exec can be found at http://suarts.org/studentexec.
What will you influence and achieve?
You will have regular meetings with the Head of College and College staff to put forward the views of LCC students to impact change within your college and across the University. You will also be heavily involved with what the Students’ Union does in the college- be it attending events, meeting students and deciding the future of SUARTS.
Don’t think this is for you?
If this doesn’t sound like something you would be interested in then perhaps you know of someone else this might be right for? So nominate a friend instead! All LCC students will have the chance to vote for their Vice President at the beginning of November.
